About Dave Roth

Cargal USA, LLCAs organizations evolve, the underlying processes and systems must evolve and be flexible, efficient and cost effective. Processes and technologies that once provided the organization with a reasonable foundation for running the business may no longer support current needs and future plans.

Processes and systems that are costly to maintain and support, regularly challenges the organization. As the organization works to improve operations, a number of key processes and systems are not integrated and it is a slow and costly process to introduce anything new. To capitalize on market opportunities, the organization's business goals and technology strategy must be understood, and must stay aligned.

Cargal assists organizations to develop and implement a Strategic Plan by identifying how to achieve key business objectives, and develop a deliberate, long-range plan to meet those objectives.

The organization can ensure that its investments are aligned with the organization's long term strategy, thereby ensuring that all funds spent (including technology) meet the organization's goals and objectives.

Through a detailed and proven methodology, Cargal will define and implement the strategy defined.
A critical review of past performance by the executives and management of an organization and the preparation of a plan beyond ordinary budgetary processes require focus, commitment and executive sponsorship. Some essential points which should to be observed during the review and strategic planning process include the following:

  • Should relate to the medium term i.e. 2/4 years
  • Should be undertaken by executives and management
  • Should focus on matters of strategic importance
  • Should be separated from day-to-day work
  • Should be realistic, detached and critical
  • Should distinguish between cause and effect
  • Should be reviewed periodically
  • Should be documented
